Open Source Software Comparison|W3|P3|
Fighting Malware
When you browse the web, you can
sometimes download harmful files, sometimes on purpose, other times it could be
an accident or even a forced unseen download. So you’ll want the best
protection you can get. Sometimes your Operating System or browser can
come with security already built inside of it, but it doesn’t always clean up
everything. You’ll need to find an antivirus tool or a malware protector/finder; some known tools are Malware Bytes and the IObit Malware Protections, but some
of these costs a year or up to a packaged bundle that usually runs quite
cheap for a year (30.00+ USD) But the benefits of a paid subscription usually
outpace that of a non-paid subscription.
ClamWin is an Antivirus open source software that can be used completely free, you’ll never have to pay, but you maybe missing out on dozens of benefits from using a trial/free version of the paid versions of known antivirus software. And open-source antivirus software are usually rarely updated, whereas paid/free ones are updated more frequently, and usually come with bonus features, such as watching out for newer attacks like ransomware.
