Open Source Software Comparison|W3|P1|
Tor and the World of Chrome
As technology
advances, so do the tools we use to access that technology, and so forth. You
may have a choice of one to three different operating systems (Windows, Linux, ac)
There is a vast world of browsers that you can use, some more customizable,
and others strictly meant to keep you safe while browsing and keeping things discreet. Tor
Project or the Tor Browser is one such browser that, by definition, is made to
keep everything you do conceal. Tor is a volunteer/non-profit based service that allows you to browse with anonymity. It is also known for being a
skeptical browser, as some use it for unscrupulous deeds or tasks due to the
browser's nature. The benefit of being discreet is a feature
some are looking for, especially since no fee or payment is due to
access this software. The downside is that it is advised to not use any sort of
customization or extensions on the browser, as it is meant to not be tracked,
and some extensions can lead to small forms of tracing.
Google Chrome allows for a safer and secure browser. All without making it entirely anonymous, it is more user friendly and allows extensions to give better protection in the browser. Most of the time, you rarely would need to seek a VPN unless you are in un-trusted waters; google chrome will remind you when it feels something is unsafe or if there is an unsafe connection.
